The Exeter Senior High School Chess Club was recognized at the April 16 board meeting for being their Berks County Championship. The Exeter team finished first in the county and second in the state tournament.

“We had an amazing season,” said Robert Wickstrom, chess team advisor, “The game of chess really involves all of the critical thinking skills that we strive to teach throughout our educational process.”

The chess team consists of students Jon Davis, Brook Bi, Rick Davis, Erich Schaeffer, Jason Price, Jake Daniels, Cameron Blanchard, Isaac Duquette, and Noah Colaperto.
