Robert and Susan McGhee Bragner, Union Township, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Bragner, Union Township, to Robert K. Zerwick, Bowers, son of Kevin and Lisa Zerwick, Bowers.
After completing the 2,187 miles of the Appalachian Trail as a 2012 thru hiker, Robert proposed to Ashley, at the end of the trail, a top of Mount Katahdin, the highest mountain in Maine. Ashley and her Australian shepherd, Annabelle, had joined Robert on parts of the trail and together they raised over $5,000 for the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund Organization, Boston.
Ashley graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of arts degree in integrative arts and psychology. Robert graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and marketing.
They are excited to share a life together and they are planning a farm wedding for Oct. 19, 2013.
