State Police
April 23: State police from the Hamburg station responded to an incident on April 23 at 1:57 p.m. on Topton road in Maxatawny. John Boyer, 54 of Allentown, began to turn right into a driveway after not giving a proper turn signal. Karen Hoffman, 46 of Kutztown, attempted to pass Boyer on the right side. Boyer struck the left rear of Hoffman’s car with his front bumper. Hoffman’s 2011 Ford Fusion was towed away from the scene by Shadlers towing. Boyer’s 2004 Mack R-Model Legend was driven away from the scene. Boyer was taken to Reading Hospital by Topton Ambulance. The severity of his injuries are unknown.
April 18: State Police from the Reading station responded to an accident on Route 662 on April 18 at 2:55 p.m. The accident occurred on Memorial Highway at its intersection with Stitzer Road. Danielle Cole, 17 of Fleetwood, was stopped on SR 662 at its intersection with Stitzer Road facing north. John Swartley, 58 of Fleetwood, was right behind Cole. Swartley failed to notice that Cole was stopped and caused a rear end crash. Cole’s vehicle was pushed forward from the impact and came to a final resting spot on the right side of SR 662. No one was injured as a result of the accident.

March 29: Police are investigating the report of Loitering following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 00 block of N. Whiteoak St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the passenger side mirror was broken off of the vehicle was it was parked at a residence in the 00 block of S. Baldy St.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a street light pole located in the 00 block of W. Main St.
Police are investigating the report of a Weapons Offense following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of Noble St.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a directional sign located at the intersection of Roeller Alley and E. Main Street and to a directional sign located at the intersection of E. Main Street and Willow Street.
Police arrested Tyler Wuensche, 19, of Holland, PA for Violation of the Peace and Good Order Ordinance following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of Sander Alley.
Police arrested Carly Elicker, 20, of West Chester, for Public Drunkenness following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Sacony Alley.
Police arrested John McCarrick, 20, of Wilmington, Del., for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of Noble St.
March 30: Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to the United States Post Office Curbside box located in the 100 block of W. Main St., and to the traffic control signal box located at the intersection of W. Main and Noble Streets.

March 31: Police are investigating the report of a Burglary to an unattached garage after items were reported missing following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 200 block of S. Baldy St.

Police investigated the report of Theft from Vehicle after items were reported missing from a vehicle while it was parked at a residence located in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Ave.

April 2: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a door after it was reported that the door frame was cracked following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Briar Circle South.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Melvin Granados-Medrano, 20, of Denver, PA for Public Drunkenness and Criminal Mischief/Tampering with Property following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Briar Circle North.
April 3: After completing their investigation, police arrested Amanda Metzger, 18, of Douglasville, for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of Noble St.
April 4: After completing their investigation, police arrested Christian Ragland, 19, of Reading, for Misrepresentation of Age to Secure Liquor following an incident that occurred at Shorty’s Bar, 272 W. Main St.
Police arrested Evan Yenolevich, 21, of Germansville, PA for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 45 W. Main St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
Police arrested Brandon Parker, 20 of Norristown, for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 88 Bieber Alley. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
April 5: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the driver side window was broken while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 200 block of S. Baldy St.

Police arrested Daniel McAteer, 20, of Limerick, for Theft by Unlawful Taking, Disorder Conduct, Public Drunkenness and Escape following an incident that occurred in the 300 block of W. Main St.
April 6: Police are investigating the report of Vandalism to a vehicle following an incident that occurred at the Kutztown Fairgrounds, 225 N. Whiteoak St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a lamp post after it was reported to have been knocked over following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 00 block of S. Baldy St.

April 7: Police are investigating the report of a Burglary after items were reported missing from a residence in the 200 block of W. Main St.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to flowers after they were reported to have been pulled out of the ground at a residence in the 300 block of Sander Alley.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after the grill and plate were reported to have been damaged while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 00 block of Noble St.
Police arrested Sean Healy, 23, of Yardley, for Violation of the Borough Open Container Ordinance following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of W. Sacony Alley.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Gunnar Schwan, 18, of Blandon, for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages and Public Drunkenness following an incident that occurred in the 300 block of Vine Alley.
April 8: Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to the rear cargo door of a box truck located at Kutztown Bottling Works, 78 S. Whiteoak St. and to an exterior panel box located at the Verizon Building, 41 Herring Alley.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Daniel McAteer, 20, of Limerick, for Purchase, Consumption, Possession or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages, Public Drunkenness and Loitering/Prowling at Night following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 00 block of N. Whiteoak St.
April 9: Police are investigating the report of Theft after an item was reported missing following an incident that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Briar Circle North.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to a parking control sign located in the 400 block of W. Walnut St.
Police arrested Bionojel Candelaria, 21, of Reading, for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 117 Noble St.
April 10: After completing their investigation, Police arrested Grant Mauger, 21, of Catasauqua, and Charles Walcheski, 22, of Northampton, for Violation of the Borough Noise Ordinance following an incident that occurred at 169 W. Main St. A Disruptive Conduct Report was also issued.
After completing their investigation, police arrested Seamus Connolly, 22, of Boulder, Colo., for Violation of the Borough Peace and Good Order Ordinance following an incident that occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank, 301 W. Main St.
After completing their investigation, police arrested John McClendon, 21, of Philadelphia, for Harassment/Physical Contact following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of W. Main St.
After completing their investigation,police arrested Christopher McCormick, 22, of West Chester, for Disorderly Conduct and for Carrying a Firearm without a License following an incident that occurred in the 00 block of Noble St.
April 11: Police arrested Douglas Pierce, 22, of Kimberton, for Harassment/Physical Contact following an incident that occurred in the 200 block of W. Main St.
After completing their investigation, police arrested a juvenile for Theft by Unlawful Taking following an incident that occurred at the Kutztown Area High School, 50 Trexler Ave.
