The PA Strikers U12 Fast Pitch Softball Team recently won the USSSA SpringSlammer Tournament in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. The two-day tournament was held on April 27 and 28 inLansdale, Montgomery County.

On Saturday, the Strikers defeated the Towamencin Xplosion, 11-2, the NorthPenn Eclipse 10-0 and the X-Treme Fastpitch Blue Team 15-1. On Sunday the Strikers defeated the Perry

Fusion 10-1, the Lady Stormers 10-2 and the X-Treme Red Team 11-1 in the semi-final game. The Strikers thenfaced the Northern Valley Cyclones in the Championship game. The final score of the game was 8-3 in favor ofthe Strikers who won the tournament, which consisted of 17 teams.

The Strikers brought both their topoffensive and defensive games to the tournament, as the team produced an impressive 75 runs collectively andhad only 10 scored against them with only three errors committed over the seven games.

The PA Strikers have played in various tournaments last fall and this spring and now have a record of 38-4-1.The team of 12 year olds will compete this Spring/Summer in roughly 12 tournaments between the months ofApril and August.
