‘Serve-a-thon' day for Berks Christian School

As part of the Berks Christian School’s annual efforts of volunteering, the school splits up by grade level to complete a service project around Berks County. This year marked the sixth year the school has held the event fundraiser. “All of the grades, K-12... go out into the community serve and help out at the various locations for the entire day,” said Director of Development Beth Bromwell.
Locations this year included:
Kindergarten - Manor at Market Square
1st Grade - Hawthorne Home & Keystone Villa
2nd Grade - Elmcroft & Hearthstone at Amity
3rd Grade - Berkshire Commons & Golden Living Center
4th Grade - Reading School District Schools
5th Grade - Spring Street at Boyertown
6th Grade - Christian Mission Technical Services (CMTS)
7th Grade - Rosedale Campground
8th Grade - Mercy Crisis Pregnancy Center & Child Evangelism Fellowship
9th Grade – Opportunity House
10th Grade – Heritage Park in Reading
11th Grade – Greater Reading Food Bank & Exeter Township Service Project
12th Grade - Habitat for Humanity
Community involvement and volunteering is important to the students of Berks Christian. In the past five years, they have raised over $175,000.
