The Honey Brook Borough ‘Concert in the Park’ summer concert series will begin on Sunday, June 9 with a FREE concert featuring Drew Nielands and John Grecia. The concert will take place in the Honey Brook Borough Park (located on Rt 10 behind the Honey Brook Post Office) from 5:30-8:00 pm.

Hailing from West Chester PA, this group of close friends cross musical boundaries blending elements of Folk, Reggae, Blues and good old Rock n’ Roll. Drew Nielands and John Grecia are made up of Drew Nielands on acoustic and electric guitars and vocals, John Grecia on piano and vocals, Mike Windish on drums and Ben Rose on bass. Drew and John will be playing original music from their respective debut albums, ‘Til the Lights are Gone’ and ‘Thirteen’ as well as cover selections. Visit drewnielands.com and johngreciaband.com to listen to the band.

Concert goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. The Honey Brook Lions Club will have food and beverages available for purchase. In the case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed and a message will be placed on the Honey Brook Borough office line 610-273-2020 after 1:00 pm the day of the concert.

The Park and Recreation Committee has two more concerts scheduled on August 11 with ‘The Well Band’ performing Celtic music and on September 8 with ‘Raven Hill’ performing Bluegrass music. The Park and Rec Committee had hoped to have a new pavilion constructed for this summer’s park events but due to time constraints and our desire not to interfere with scheduled events and resident reservations, we have decided to postpone construction until the fall.

Visit the Borough’s website at honeybrookborough.net for a complete schedule of events.
