100 Years Ago Oct. 23, 1913
The bungalow cottage of Samuel Dunkel, on South Fourth Street, Hamburg, will soon be finished. It has an eight-foot porch on the four sides of the building, and seven large rooms and bath.
Edward A. Rothenberger and family expect to take possession on Saturday of their new cottage on Island Street, Hamburg. This home is a model bungalow in arrangement, having six spacious rooms and bath.
Alexander Cope, Robert Reber, Aaron Francis and Arthur Miller walked to the Blue Rocks on Tuesday where they hunted for the ‘bake oven’ but were unable to locate it. They also visited the famous white rock and pulpit rock.
Contractor W. Frank Bailer had a force of men erecting the brick walls for the extension to the Central Garage, on South Fourth Street, Hamburg, the past few days.
