Show proceeds benefit American Cancer Society and will offer a variety of family oriented activities throughout the event. It’s more than just ‘chrome and fancy engines’ states Sherry Sperring event coordinator.

Our mission statement is the ‘Power to make a difference’ the ‘Passion to keep fighting back’ and the ‘Hope to find a cure’.

The event will kick off at noon with Presentation of Colors followed by the National Anthem performed by Taylor Rand, an American Idol contestant from Philadelphia. Following will be a ‘cancer survivor ceremony celebration’. The survivors in attendance will have refreshments available afterwards

Josh Gehman will be honored; Cyndi and Matthew Gehman will share their moving story of their son Josh’s battle with cancer. Kids will have ballots to vote on their favorite vehicle, the Gehman’s will then present a ‘Kids’ Choice Trophy’ to the winning vehicle.

Spectators will be amazed by the original KITT car from the 2008 series, along with a Batmobile replica complete with flames. Amsoil dragster will also be available for photo opportunities.

‘Cruze In For A Cure’ trophies will be awarded for first and second place in 16 categories, along with Best of Show, Best Represented Car Club and Kids choice.

Food- don’t miss the opportunity for a wood fire pizza, the Best French Fries around, hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, AND healthy Island Smoothies!

‘All of us have been affected by cancer in some way. Our hope is to bring to the forefront how Relay For Life benefits the American Cancer Society and inform the community of all the programs available through ACS’ says Sperring.
