PETERSHEIM John M. Petersheim, 87, of Morgantown, PA went home peacefully to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

He was under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice. He was married to Susan Lavern Stoltzfus, formerly of Atglen, who survives.

They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary June 19. He was born in Morgantown, son of the late Samuel (S. K.) and Malinda M. Petersheim.

John was a plumber in the Morgantown area for about 50 years. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed being a member of the Buck Hollow Hunting Club near Renovo, PA. He was baptized in 1943 at Conestoga Mennonite Church and was a faithful servant there. He served as a trustee and Sunday School teacher for a number of years.

He is survived by three children: Waneta, married to Greg Freeman, Lewisville, NC; Jerald M., married to Freda (Mast) Petersheim, Morgantown; and Andrew, married to Lois (Brubaker) Petersheim, Morgantown; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are: two brothers, Elmer, married to Ruth Hunsberger Petersheim, of Oley; Walter Petersheim of Elverson; two sisters, Martha Lantz of Morgantown, and Elizabeth, married to Earl Martin of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Good and Sara Burkholder, and one brother, Stephen Petersheim.
