The PA Strikers U12 Fast Pitch Softball Team recently won the 12 U ‘A’ ASA/USA Regional National Qualifier Tournament in York, Pennsylvania.

The two-day tournament was held over the weekend of on June 9th and 9th in York. On Saturday, the Strikers lost both games, one to the Conklin, NY Raiders, 1-0; and the other to the Lady Rebels, 7-4. On Sunday the Strikers battled back and won all four games to win the Tournament.

The girls defeated the Terror Fast Pitch Blue Team, 14-0; The Conklin Raiders 5-0; The NY Lady Rebels, 10-3 in the semi-final and then again defeated the Conklin Raiders 2-3 in the Championship game.

The Strikers brought both their top offensive and defensive games to the tournament which in the end earned them a spot to the ASA National Championship being held in Chattanooga, TN in late July. The PA Strikers U12 Team is the only Pennsylvania team attending the Nationals. The team will be playing against some of the best teams in the country.

The PA Strikers have played in various tournaments last fall, this spring and summer and now have a record of 63-14-1. This hard-working team of 12 year olds will ultimately compete in roughly 12 Tournaments between the months of April and August.
