Tuesdays July 2-30 at 10-11 am For ages 0-6. An interactive kids program of song, movement, and musical instruments. Small cost per family per session. Registration is required.


Honey Brook Community Library Stories in the Shade with Miss Jennifer Wednesdays July 3 August 7 at 10:00-11:00am. For ages 2-6. Join Miss Jennifer for stories, songs and crafts outside when weather permits. Please bring a blanket for sitting in the grass. Designed for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome! Honey Brook Community Library Nature Thursdays July 11 August 8 at 10:00 11:00 am. For ages 4-12. Join us at for a look at nature this summer through activities and crafts. Themes include bugs, reptiles, and animals; local archeologists; shark teeth & animal bones from the Chesapeake Bay area. Registration is required.

History Day Camp at Daniel Boone Homestead, July 16-18, 9 a.m.-2p.m. Hands-on activities include candle dipping, basket making, quill pen writing, 18th century toys & games, butter making, animal tracking, militia muster, and an archaeology dig. Demonstrations include blacksmithing, textile processing, Native American culture, and colonial music. A guided tour of the Boone House is also included. Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church will hold its annual vacation Bible school from Sunday, July 28 to Thursday, August 1, 6-8:30 p.m. for ages two-Adult. The theme is Growing in Gods World. Hearth Cooking Junior History Workshop at Daniel Boone Homestead, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The workshops are interactive programs that focus on one aspect of colonial life in detail. Daniel Boones mother and sisters were responsible for providing the familys meals. Using a hearth fireplace, children will learn how meals were prepared in the eighteenth century and cook their own lunch over the hearth.
