A call to AAA for roadside assistance led to pending charges of driving under the influence in Fleetwood.
Fleetwood Police report that Kyle Hoffa, 24, Fleetwood, struck a curb and sign on Franklin Street. He called AAA for assistance after his 1986 Oldsmobile became disabled in the Fleetwood Community Center parking lot at 10:30 p.m. on July 16.
Isamoyer Towing responded to the call for assistance. Determining that the vehicle was likely involved in a crash, Isamoyer notified Fleetwood Police.
Police arrived on scene to investigate, determining that Hoffa exhibited classic signs of intoxication, according to police. Hoffa failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. He was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for a legal blood draw after which he was released to a family member.
Charges for DUI and traffic related offenses are pending laboratory results.
