Kutztown businesswoman Kim Davis joins a national networking group for women working in expanding pet industry.

Women in the Pet Industry Network, a leading organization focused on women entrepreneurs in the ever-growing pet industry, welcomes Davis to its membership.

“I look forward to many opportunities to connect with women across so many pet industry categories,” said Davis, Merchant Account Consultant of Bark Solutions, a division of Cynergy Associates, Inc. “We all strive to raise the level of professionalism in the industry and to capitalize on its growth. WIPIN enables that through its network, educational events and membership benefits.”

Davis provides business-consulting services for new and existing businesses nationwide. Her specialty is merchant accounts, cause marketing and the combination of the two. She helps businesses: understand the merchant services industry; minimize their effective rate they pay to receive credit card payments; and implement cause marketing programs supporting non-profits.

Davis, CPP, has been helping businesses (for profit and non-profit) establish merchant account services and implement proven marketing solutions for more than13 years. She is the former owner of The Bark on Main, Kutztown. She closed the store in 2011 to help other businesses with their merchant services. In 2013 she formed www.barksolutions.com, which combines her passion for animals and merchant account expertise.

“Our network continues to grow with the addition of talented entrepreneurs such as Kim,” said Shawna Schuh, Certified Speaking Professional and President of WIPIN. “Each member brings a unique perspective and adds to our exchange of ideas, information and contacts. Our members hail from companies focused on everything from puppy products to wildlife sanctuaries. We are building a network of movers and shakers across multiple fields within the pet industry. As members of WIPIN, women from all over the United States can connect as if they were at a business lunch,” added Schuh.

In addition to leading WIPIN, Schuh is founder and channel host on Pet Industry TV. She is also a Master NLP Practitioner and Executive Coach with nearly 20 years of experience helping professionals experience profound insights about themselves and their businesses.

WIPIN membership benefits include: a subscription to Animal Wellness Magazine; WIPIN’s monthly newsletter with business articles and promotional tips; access to semi-annual Top Women in the Pet Industry Biz Books; custom web pages on the WIPIN website; inclusion on a members’ list for networking; the Pet Industry Buzz e-zine that spotlights members to an audience of hundreds of pet professionals and shares video lessons that can positively impact business growth; caring telephone support from real people with real pets; unlimited access to other pet professionals for information and partnerships; discounts on products and services; and monthly educational sessions by phone or web on marketing, social media and other pertinent business-building topics.

According to the 2011-2012 American Pet Products Association’s National Pet Owners Survey, there are more than 78.2 million pet dogs and 86.4 million pet cats. Even in uncertain economic times, the rate of spending on pets did not falter but continued to grow. Estimates show pet owners in the United States will spend $55.53 billion on their pets in 2013, up from $53.33 billion spent in 2012 and $41.2 billion in 2007. More and more services are being provided to help pet owners take the best care of their animals.

Established in 2010, WIPIN is headquartered near Portland, Ore., and currently serves a membership base of women entrepreneurs worldwide. WIPIN offers two levels of membership, Professional and Corporate, and members come from all categories within the pet industry, from groomers and veterinarians to pet sitters and pet boutiques. WIPIN is affiliated with Black Dog Education, Animal Wellness Magazine and PetIndustryTV.com.
