ELEMENTS SHOW OPENING Your Claim To Frame’s third of four shows in 2013 celebrating the elements, the WATER show features pieces that were either created using water or use water as a primary subject matter. Featuring over a dozen local artists working in a variety of mediums, the show will open with a reception on Friday, July 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be free water ice from Kona Ice to the first 50 people visiting the show on Friday evening so come early. The show runs through Saturday, August 17. Additional information on the exhibit can be found on their Facebook page or by calling (610) 404-4640. Anyone attending the opening will be entered to win a special prize. The final show in the series will feature works related to AIR. Artists interested in entering any of the upcoming shows should contact the gallery for more information.

BIKE POTTSTOWN Bike Pottstown has been lending out its signature yellow cruisers for recreation and transportation for five years now. The Schuylkill River Heritage Area, which runs the popular free bike share program, wants to encourage more people to use the bikes.
Any first time user will receive a free Bike Pottstown water bottle. Anyone using the bikes 10 times through September 30 will receive a free backpack. Bikes are available at Tri County Bicycles on 256 High St., which now has a total of 40 Bike Pottstown bikes. The Schuylkill River Heritage Area also has a limited number of bikes available at 140 College Dr. Call 484-945-0200 for information.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS We are seeking volunteers to help out with our Schuylkill River Trail Bike Tour Series: Cycles and Cemeteries Ride on September 21. We will need people in the morning to help with set up and registration, and throughout the day to assist with food, water stations, road crossings and other details. We would like to have more than 20 volunteers on hand throughout the day.
