Fans of young adult author, A.S. King, came to the Pagoda on July 25 for a meet and greet session. King, a 1988 graduate of Exeter High School, welcomed teen fans between the ages of 13 and 18, to join her for a historical tour of the Pagoda. A discussion on her latest book, “Please Ignore Vera Dietz,” followed the tour.
“She writes awesome books,” Exeter resident Emily Matthews exclaimed about one of her favorite authors.
“Please Ignore Vera Dietz” has received a Michael L. Printz Honor, a Junior Library Guild selection, an Edgar Allen Poe Award nominee, YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults pick, Indie Next List Pick for Teens, and Kirkus Reviews Best Books for Teens.
The event was coordinated by Jennifer Schrott, children’s librarian of Exeter Community Library.
