(UPDATED 11:55 a.m.) AMITY – The Berks County Coroner’s office has identified the victim from an early morning crash on Route 422.
Royce A. Ochs, 65, of Adamstown, suffered a blunt force trauma to the head, according to the coroner’s office.
Toxicology tests are being conducted but an autopsy will not be preformed.
Details about the crash have not been released by police yet, but the eastbound lanes of Route 422 were closed for about 51/2 while township police and county investigators worked on the scene.

EARLIER VERSION OF THE STORY
(UPDATED 11:30 a.m.) AMITY – The eastbound lanes of Route 422 were reopened around 11 a.m., after police cleared a scene that killed one person.
The highway was closed for about 5 and 1/2 hours while township police and investigators from the Berks County Reconstruction Team worked on the scene.
The collision between a mini van and a tractor-trailer happened near Riga Lane around 5:30 a.m.

(UPDATED 10:04 a.m.) AMITY – The Berks County Coroner’s office confirmed they were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Route 422 Friday morning.
Township police have closed the eastbound lanes of the highway while they investigate the crash that occurred near Riga Lane between a mini van and a tractor-trailer.
While local police and county detectives investigate, traffic is being rerouted onto Monocacy Hill Road and then getting back on Route 422 at Limekiln Road.
