Blandon man drives 127 mph on Route 222

Jesse Lobb, 27, of Blandon, was charged with driving under the influence on June 18, at 8:13 p.m. Lobb was driving a 2009 white Honda Civic on Highway 222 southbound at the Krumsville Road on ramp, traveling at 127 miles an hour in a 65 mile an hour zone. A traffic stop was initiated and during the stop, Lobb exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Lobb was arrested and transported for a blood test, which showed Lobb’s blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.

Driver strikes sign, embankment

Samuel Kucsan, 19, of Reading, was charged with driving under the influence after an accident on Aug. 8 on Gun Club Road in Maxatawny Township at 6:45 p.m.


Kucsan lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the left side of the road and struck a stop sign and an embankment. The collisions left his vehicle disabled. When State Police, Reading, arrived at the scene, Kucsan exhibited signs of being intoxicated and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. A blood test proved he was over the legal limit.
