This week’s BIG SHOT is of Twin Valley student Julianna Beauvais.
Beauvais was one of the youngest attendees at the recent National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC. The conference hosts nominated students and educates them into future lawyers, judges and community leaders. Usually attended by upper-classman, Beauvais, a freshman, spent eight days touring our nation’s capital, experiencing VIP U.S. Capitol tours and visiting the Vietnam War Memorial and the White House.
Her days were filled with lectures from keynote speakers, giving speeches, hosting student debates, attending leadership meetings, project planning, and presidential simulations. The group studied public service fields, national security, journalism, public policy and public relations. They listened to experts describe an insider’s view of Congress on Capitol Hill.
This special trip gave Julianna hands-on career experience that will help her attain college and career success.
