Itís difficult to imagine Duryea Day without volunteers. Nobody to greet you at the main gate, nobody giving further insight to the Museumís collection in the exhibit gallery, nobody to answer questions at the headquarter tent. The list goes on.
Fortunately, many wonderful volunteers will spend Saturday helping out to make sure that the 48th Annual Duryea Day goes off without a hitch. With a smile on their faces, volunteers help make Duryea Day an enjoyable event for you, the visitor.
Pottstown Region AACA volunteers handle car registration and parking with ease and make sure all participants receive their dash plaques and goodie bags. The Antique Truck Club of America, which is headquartered at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, will also be at Boyertown Community Park that day helping to register and park the trucks.
Many Museum volunteers assist at the park throughout the day. They do everything from staffing the entry gates at the park to helping at the Museum gift shops. Volunteers were on hand the day before Duryea Day to help set up tents, tables, chairs, and signs at the park. And at the end of the day, they are on hand to tear down and clean up so that beautiful Boyertown Community Park is back the way we found it.
We also cannot forget the generosity of the many local businesses who have donated items as prizes for show and Car Games participants.
To all these volunteers, the Museum would like to extend a big ďThank You!Ē Without you, Duryea Day could not happen.
