Hopewell Christian Fellowship offers variety of support workshops for community

Hopewell Christian Fellowship in Elversonwants to be a catalyst in helping marriages, families and individuals in our communities move from surviving to thriving.
For that reason, Hopewell invites you to attend one of a variety of workshops and groups coming this fall. These diverse workshops/groups will address topics that hit home with families—parenting, employment, divorce and grief.
DivorceCare is a 13 week group for those who are experiencing the strain of separation or divorce at all stages. This group is for those who are contemplating, navigating through, or putting the pieces back together in the aftermath of divorce. Those who attend will find help, hope and healing. DivorceCare starts Sept. 15 at 8:30 a.m. Registration is not required and there is no cost.
Grace Based Parenting is a 10 week video-based workshop hosted by Dr. Tim Kimmel, founder and executive director of Family Matters. In this workshop, Dr. Kimmel will help parents of young children find the balance in a world of extremes and provide you with tools to teach your child how to navigate their culture, choose better friends and make wiser choices. Grace Based Parenting starts Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. Cost for the workbook is $10 and registration is required. Secure childcare will be provided for this workshop.
Dealing with Today’s Teens is a 9 week video-based workshop hosted by Mark Gregston, founder and executive director of Heartlight Ministries. In this workshop, Mark will teach parents about the pitfalls of parenting teens in today’s confused culture, how to help your teen navigate through the turbulent adolescent years and positive methods for helping teens recover from destructive behaviors. Dealing with Today’s Teens starts Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Cost for the workbook is $10 and registration is required.
Crossroads Career Network is a 9 week course for those who are unemployed and those considering a different career path. Participants will receive personal coaching and mentoring to sharpen resume building and interviewing skills, an up-to-date career explorer guide and access to a world-class career search portal with over 100 selected links to career sites. Crossroads Career Network starts Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. For those who are able, the cost for materials is $10. There is no cost to those experiencing hardship due to unemployment. Registration is required.
GriefShare’s Surviving the Holidays Seminar will be held on Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m. This is a place where those journeying through grief will receive comfort and tips on how to get through the holidays after the loss of a loved one. Registration for the Surviving the Holidays Seminar will begin in October.
