The Freethought Society is kicking off the 2013 Pennsylvania State Atheist/Humanist Conference, being held the weekend of September 14th and 15th at the Embassy Suites Hotel (9000 Bartram Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) with its world-reknowned and unique Friday the 13th Friggatriskaidekaphobia Treatment Center and Anti-Superstition Bash extravaganza!
The legendary Friday the 13th Anti-Superstition Bash will start the weekend-long conference at 7:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom. Party guests at the Friggatriskaidekaphobia Treatment Center will be entertained in a number of ways poking fun at superstitions. A DJ will play anti-superstition themed songs, and live singers will entertain everyone. Friggatriskaidekaphobia Treatment Nurses and Doctors will assist guests through an interactive anti-superstition museum. An official Miss Fortune Teller will be delivering fake predictions. Caricature artists will be creating humorous souvenirs.
Joe Nickell, author and skeptical investigator of the paranormal, will autograph his books throughout the evening. Jamy Ian Swiss, magician and Senior Fellow of the James Randi Educational Foundation, is the Master of Ceremonies and will present an amazing show at 10 p.m.
