AMITY – Police have identified the female victim of a deadly one-car crash that occurred Monday afternoon.

Ashley Ortlip, 28, of Reading, died from thermal burns and blunt force trauma, according to the Berks County Coroner’s Office.

Around 4:50 p.m. Monday, the 1997 Chevrolet van Ortlip was driving left Route 422 near Monocacy Creek Road, traveled through the parking lot of La Casa Musso restaurant, hit a tree and caught fire, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
