The Pa. State Police Reading Barracks investigated a crash on Krumsville Rd. in Maxatawny Twp. on Sept. 11 at 2:15 p.m. 541 feet north of Long Dam Rd. John J. Griffin, 53, of Pottsville, was traveling north on Krumsville Rd. in a 2007 Mack Tanker. Griffin lost control for unknown reasons; after exiting the roadway onto the north embankment and struck a boulder embedded in the embankment. Griffin entered back onto the roadway and then exited the roadway again onto the north embankment. After hitting the embankment the second time the truck rolled over onto the driver’s side. After the truck rolled over it slid across the southbound lane before coming to final rest. The truck came to final rest facing north in the southbound lane on the driver’s side.
Griffin sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital by Kutztown EMS for unknown injuries.
Griffin will be cited as a result of this crash.
