MABA Business Expo to provide fun for the whole family

The Morgantown Area Business Association (MABA) will host its annual business expo this Saturday, and this year it aims to provide a fun experience for parents and children alike.

The expo will be held at Lowe’s in the Morgantown Crossing Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aside from the local representatives on hand to give information about their businesses, this year’s event will also feature an alpaca petting zoo, a moon bounce and a hands-on “You Make It” project for the kids, sponsored by Lowe’s. There will also be food from various vendors available.

MABA President Mark Cummins said the purpose of the expo is to promote local businesses as well as to foster a relationship between those businesses and the community.

On top of the kids’ activities, the MABA plans to reach out to the community further by offering free smoke detectors while available and book sales by the village library, truly making the experience one for the whole family.

Cummins said the MABA will have a big tent up over the event area, so the expo will be held rain or shine and will be easy to find.

For more information on the event, call the MABA’s vice president for events, Linda Lovenstein, at 610-286-3000, ext. 132.
