TVHS girls soccer to hold ‘Pink Out' for breast cancer awareness

Twin Valley High School Girls Soccer Team have organized a “Pink Out” during the junior

varisty and varisty soccer games, Monday, September 30th, in honor of National Breast

Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone who attends is encouraged to wear pink to increase

awareness of the disease. The “Pink Out” is one part of the soccer team’s initiative to raise


funds for research into the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of breast cancer.

The junior varsity game versus Hamburg Area High School will begin at 5:45 pm and the

varsity game will begin at approximately 7:00 pm on Monday, September 30th at the

Twin Valley High School Turf 1 Field in Elverson, PA. Breast cancer survivors will be

honored on the field prior to the start of the varsity game.

This event is being sponsored by the TV All Sports Boosters and the Twin Valley High

School Girls Soccer team headed by Coach Colin Kent, which have rallied together to

help find a cure.

Students and the public are able to purchase a T-shirt at the school during the week

leading up to the “Pink Out” as well as during the game. There will also be various baked

goods, face painting and games for families to enjoy. Donations from local businesses for

the raffling of gift baskets are greatly appreciated.

Checks made out to the Susan B.Komen Foundation may be sent to the attention of the

Sherry Flaxenburg at Twin Valley High School, 4897 Twin Valley Road, Elverson, PA

19520. All proceeds to benefit the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
