Kutztown Community Partnership Announces Artists’ HarvThe Kutztown Community Partnership hosts its grand finale for 2013 First Fridays in Kutztown with an Artists’ Harvest, featuring the work of a bounty of artists from in and around Kutztown on Friday, Oct. 4.

During the three-day weekend event, many downtown businesses will host area artists and their work. Some of the artists will be giving demonstrations of the techniques they use in creating their art. Artists will also be available to discuss and answer questions about their work.

Art displayed during the Harvest festival will be available for sale.

‘We are expecting all of downtown Kutztown to become a huge art exhibition during this special event,’ said Jim Springer, event chair.

‘The Kutztown area has so many talented, diverse artists. We anticipate that Artists’ Harvest will become Kutztown’s unique Oktoberfest celebration,’ he added.

Participating downtown businesses will have extended hours during the festival that is kicking off on Friday, Oct. 4 from 5 to 8p.m.

Participating locations: Monaghan Realtors, Global Libations, Uptown Espresso, Dunkelberger’s; Jackie & Daughter, Wholesome Foods, Colasanti Printworks, Vynecrest Winery; Adam N’ Eve, Firefly Bookstore, J.A. Meyer, Nectar’s Cafe; Basin Street Hotel, Lucky 13 Tattoo, CC’s Wooden Grill, KTL Cigars; Pop’s Malt Shoppe, Main Street Inn, Spuds, K’town Pub.
