Alfred John and Ruth Anne Evans, of Kutztown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married by Pastor Hemple on Sept. 7, 1963 at Our Savior Church, Philadelphia.
They celebrated their anniversary at a party at a hall in south New Jersey.
Alfred is the son of Alfred M. and Olga Clara Evans, Philadelphia. He is retired from Girard Melon Bank, Artisans, Philadelphia.
Ruth is the daughter of Conrad and Anna E. Hirschmann, Philadelphia. She is retired. She was a classroom assistant at St. Mary Hospital, Langhorne.
Their children are Karin and John Davis of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; Christine and Joseph Battin, Kutztown; Lisa and Edward Pimble, Philadelphia; and Mark and Jessica Evans, Chalfont. There are nine grandchildren.
