Twin Valley student to compete in Berk's County Outstanding Young Woman

On Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 7 p.m. at Kutztown Area High School, 18 senior girls will compete for the title of Berks County’s Outstanding Young Woman. During the program, each of the girls will compete for $10,200 in cash scholarships in the following areas:

Judge’s Interview - 20%

Scholastic Achievement - 20%

Aerobics and Fitness - 20%

Performing Arts - 20%

Presence and Presentation - 20%

In addition to scholarships being awarded in the five categories listed above, scholarships will awarded to the third runner up, second runner up, and The Keystone Award, and the Title Winner. Tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket chairman at 484-225-8518. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the program.

From Twin Valley High School, Hannah Grace Hartman, of Robeson Township, will compete. Hartman, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hartman. She will perform a violin solo for her performing arts piece.
