On Friday, September 20, Turkey Hill opened a newly designed store in Birdsboro, located on 320 North Furnace Road. The new store features a variety of services including six gasoline pumps and a convenience store. Open 24 hours, the convenience store will host a multitude of different grocery items, as well as a coffee station with many flavors to choose from. A deli will also be located in the store where customers can order sandwiches, both hot and cold.

The grand opening itself featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, a prize wheel, a Turkey Hill sponsored raffle, and a radio contest. The fire department and police department of Birdsboro were also in attendance. Turkey Hill associates distributed free samples of Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue beef jerky, Turkey Hill brand ice cream, and vegetables, such as carrots, to the visitors. The first 100 customers were also awarded a free, reusable Turkey Hill brand coffee mug. All who attended the event were offered two free hotdogs as well.

A prize wheel was set up near the entrance of the convenience store which offered a variety of prizes. The Birdsboro Fire Department won $1000 and one of the police officers won $500 at the event. WIOV-FM I-105 was also in attendance with tent that featured a radio remote contest raffle for a chance to win front row tickets to Fall Fest, a music festival held at the end of Sept. Customers visiting this location have until October 12 to enter for a chance to win $500 in the form of a gift card for Turkey Hill.

Dozens of people, young and old, showed up for the event as did many local news and media outlets. Excellent temperatures, a clear sky, and a calm morning added to the pleasurable experience of this grand opening.
