Boyertown's State Theatre To Host Benefit Concert By Celtic Martins

Boyertown’s historic State Theatre will be host to a benefit concert featuring renowned musical group the Celtic Martins.

The concert, scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2013 at 7 p.m., will benefit Boyertown Area Multi-Service.

The Celtic Martins is a family band from southeastern Pennsylvania offering traditional Celtic music as well as Irish step dancing. Their performances feature the musical ability of the six Martin children, ranging in age from 22 to 7, accompanied by their parents on guitar and bass, along with drummer, Elijah Roeder.

The family, previously known as the Martin Family Band, has been performing since 2004 and has quickly become a musical sensation, performing throughout the region at various fairs, festivals and other venues such as Bethlehem Musikfest and the Kutztown Folk Festival.

The concert is being sponsored by Boyertown-area optometrist Dr. James A. Tribbett, who says he hopes to help financially support a vital agency “whose funds have been decreasing” for several years.

Tickets are $10 in advance and are available by contacting Boyertown Area Multi-Service at 200 West Spring Street, Boyertown (610) 367-6957 or Dr. Tribbett at (610) 367-8506 or jimbogramps2@yahoo.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the State Theatre, located at 61 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown.

Tickets will be $15 at the door on the night of the concert.
