Play and Learn Workshop series on Thursdays in October from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 0-5 with a parent, grandparent, or caregiver. Come and play with your child while getting parenting tips and early childhood information from guest speakers. Each session will end with a short time of stories and songs. (This workshop will take the place of Thursday Toddler Time for October.)

COMMUNITY YARD SALE FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS. The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha at Kutztown University will hold a community yard sale Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Beekey Education Center on the KU campus. Sellers will receive two parking spaces for a donation. Sellers are responsible for their own tables and displays. Proceeds from the space rental will go to the ZTA Foundation to support breast cancer education and awareness, the Komen Race for the Cure Survivor Recognition Program, scholarships, educational programming, and leadership development. The Beekey Education Center is located at College Blvd. and North Campus Dr. across from the Kutztown Fairgrounds. WINE TASTING 101 - RED WINES. 6 to 7:30 p.m. join Brandywine Community Library to learn proper way to taste wine and sample a variety of wines. Blair Vineyards, Kutztown provides instructional expertise and wines. Cost for the program includes 4-5 tastings and light appetizers. Pay at the library to hold reservation, space is very limited. Held on the library porch, in the case of unpleasant weather we will be indoors, in the stacks. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Explore the town, meet artists and photographers while enjoying the bounty of the season. TOGETHER FOR AMY Vendor And Crafters Show. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bowers Park. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) at Fleetwood Bible Church are extending a helping hand to one of its moms Amy Roth, who was re-diagnosed with Leukemia while pregnant with her third son. She was induced at 34 weeks to immediately start chemotherapy and is in line for a bone marrow transplant. Money raised will help the Roth family pay bills, provide food and clothing. Event includes kids games, face painting, a moonbounce, a kiddies train, DJ music, live music, vendors and craft tables, raffles, shirts and food for sale.
