This week’s BIG SHOT comes to us from Lesley Wood and Ray Gromis from Mohnton:

Our dog, Zeus, is a Big Shot. He is a true hero, surviving third degree burns from our house fire in July. He is a daily reminder of unconditional love. Despite all that this dog has experienced throughout his recovery, he continues to be the most loving, the most sweet and the most happy-go-lucky puppy (not quite as he is a senior lab of 8 years).

Zeus is the namesake for the Zeus and the Kitty Cats Veterinary Fund, currently sponsored by the educational non-profit Parastudy in Chester Heights. Zeus also has his own Facebook page and a line of Zeuster wear (bandanas for dogs). The fund is being sponsored until it becomes an official non-profit. The organization’s mission will be to help other dogs and cats injured or displaced by house fires and other catastrophic disasters.

Donations for Zeus and the Kitty Cats Fund can be made through Citizen’s Bank, PayPal via Parastudy’s website at www.parastudy.org (indicate that donation is for Zeus and the Kitty Cats Fund), or mail to Parastudy, c/o Cleta Prince, Treasurer, P.O. Box 201, 354 Valleybrook Road, Chester Heights, PA 19017. Dog and cat food donations are being accepted at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, 1188 Ben Franklin East Highway (Rte. 422), Douglassville.
