High school seniors compete for Berks County's Outstanding Young Woman title

On Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 7 p.m., at Kutztown Area High School, 18 senior girls will compete for the title of Berks County’s Outstanding Young Woman.
Danielle Croner, 17, of Boyertown School District, will be competing in this event and will be doing a tap dance as her Performing Arts Solo.
Danielle is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Croner of Douglass Township,
Alexandra Hartz, 17, of Oley School District, will be competing also and will be doing a lyrical dance performance as her Performing Arts Solo. Alexandra is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartz.
During the program, each of the girls will compete for $10,200 in cash scholarships in the following areas:
Judges interview —20 percent
Scholastic Achievement — 20 percent
Aerobics and Fitness — 20 percent
Performing Arts — 20 percent
Presence and Presentation — 20 percent
In addition to scholarships bring awarding in the five categories listed above, scholarships will be awarded to the third runner up, second runner up, and the Keystone Award, and the Title Winner.
Tickets (reserved seating only) can be purchased from any of the representatives or by calling the ticket chairman at 484-225-8518. Tickets will be available at the door on the night of the program.
