Families looking for a Halloween alternative – and lots of fun – are invited to the 2013 Petra Fall Fest at Petra Christian Fellowship, New Holland, on Friday, Oct. 25. The times are 5-9 p.m. All are welcome and everything is free.

Attractions run the gamut from carnival games and crafts to hay rides and train rides. There will be a number of inflatables for all ages to climb and jump on, and a “Kidz’ Korner” with games designed especially for toddlers and preschool-aged kids.

A special feature this year is a set of performances by the DKers, a Christian juggling duo – Darren Horst and Kevin McCulley – from our area. Open-air performances will take place at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

Plenty of “fall food” will be offered, including homemade soup, hot chocolate, whoopee pies, kettle corn and French fries. Guests will be able to roast hot dogs and make s’mores over open bonfires.

In case of rain, the Petra Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Petra is located at 565 Airport Road, New Holland, about a mile south of Route 23 by way of Kinzer Avenue or Ranck Road.

For more information, visit Petra’s website at www.petracf.org or call the church at (717) 354-5394.
