Fleetwood CROP Walk

Sunday Oct. 20, the Walk starts at 1p.m. from Fleetwood High School Stadium, winds through Fleetwood for a 1k, 5k and 10k walk. Fleetwood Community Crop Walk is sponsored by local businesses and made up of local churches walking together to raise money and awareness to overcome local and global hunger. “We walk because they walk.”

This year we celebrate 5 years of walking through Fleetwood and raising money to help support our local food pantries. This year we have a theme “The 5 stations of food” as we walk, there will be designated rest stops with grains, fruits, vegetables and of course cookies. Water will be available at all the rest areas. This theme is to make walkers aware of how blessed we are and what it must be like to have to walk for everything, and not just from the couch to the refrigerator. Being ever mindful that every month our food pantry feeds more than 100 units. These are our neighbors our friends our children. Thank you Fleetwood and surrounding communities for 5 years of support.
