It was a third place finish for both the Boyertown boys and girls cross country teams at the PAC-10 Championship Run held at the Heebner Park Course on Oct, 17.
In the girls race, the Lady Bears compiled 62 team points, six behind second place Perkiomen Valley, and 23 points behind champion Owen J. Roberts.
Emily Schumaker led the way for the Boyertown girls with a first place finish in a time of 19.38. Methactonís Kara Steinke was the overall individual winner (19:23), while Spring-Fordís Sammi Christman took second place (19:36).
Finishing in the top 30 for Boyertown were: Gillian Kasitz, fourth (19:43; Laura Simpson, 16th (21:06); Hailey Cleveland, 17th (21:10); and Michelle Seymour, 23rd (21;35).
On the boysí side, Boyertown was third with 81 team points, 17 behind second place Pottsgrove, and 42 points behind first place Methacton.
Dylan Eddinger was the top runner for the Bears, also taking third place in a time of 16:39. Paul Powers of Spring-Ford was the individual boys champion, finishing the course in 16:30, while Methactonís Jeff Kirshenbaum was second in 16:34.
Finishing in the top 30 for the Boyertown boys were: John Bennett, 12th (17:07); Dalton Meredith 20th (17:28); Elijah Mercado, 21st (17:29); Lance Kokonos, 25th (17:39); Bryton Henry, 27th (17:43); and Dylan Weiser, 28th (17:45).
