October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the Boyertown Area Senior High football team decided to do its part.

The players, along with the BASH Football Parents Association, donated a total of $250 to Jessica Tomaselli in honor of her father, Sergeant Tomaselli.

The money was raised through the sale of pink tee-shirts

Sergeant Tomaselli was an intricate part in the DARE program in the Boyertown area when many of the current football players participated in the program in their elementary and Junior High tenure.

The money for this donation was raised through the pink tee shirt sales at the home football games in October. The pink out at the homecoming football game was a testament to the entire town’s dedication to fighting for a cure, and the football team’s desire to honor Officer Tomaselli by being “at war for a cure”.

Jessica Tomaselli walked with the team called Breast Friends of Pennsylvania in the three-day walk. The team goal was to raise $120k and they met and exceeded their goal by achieving over $127k! Jessica personally raised $3,997. which far surpassed her goal of $2,300.
