The Schuylkill Valley High School boys’ cross country team captured ninth place at the District 3-AA Cross Country Championship Run on Oct. 23 in Hershey.
The boys’ finished with 241 team points, eight behind eighth place Wyomissing. York Suburban was the team winner with 130 points.
Tulphehocken finished in 24th place with 623 team points.
In the girls’ race, Schuylkill Valley finished in 15th place with 373 team points, 66 behind 14th place Berks Catholic. York Suburban won the girls’ meet as well with 91 team points.
The Schuylkill Valley boys were led by Clay Stabolepszy, who finished in 11th place individually with a time of 17:26.
Other finishers for the Panthers were: Glen Heck, 32nd (17:58); Chris Yeshulas, 40th (18:02); Jacob Waltz, 55th (18:24); Reese Salen, 103rd (19:03); Jaxon Kochel, 173rd (20:14); and Kevin Cook, 184th (20:34).
Finishers for Tulpehocken were: Mason Klopp, 37th (18:01); Nick Sokolovich, 64th (18:28); Jacob Hare, 145th (19:38); Tanner Schalter, 185th (20:35); and James Lafollette, 192nd (20:57).
Finishing for the Schuylkill Valley girls were: Hannah Beatty, 17th (21:00); Rachel Borden, 55th (22:48); Shyanne Salen, 96th (24:27); Shianne James, 100th (24:48); Jacqueline Marusiak, 105th (25:29); and Isabella Ciervo, 108th (26:23).
Rachel Bross led the Tulpehocken girls in the District 3-A Meet, when she finished in 21st place in a time of 24:16.
Audrey Jonas, also from Tulehocken, finished in 29th place with a time of 11:34.
