For those looking to unload some extra Halloween candy, help a good cause this fall or just make a few bucks, Parisi Orthodontics has just the thing.
For the eighth year, Parisi is holding its popular Halloween Candy Buy Back program. Anyone interested can drop off their excess candy at the office and earn $1 per pound.
“This Candy Buy Back is open to the entire community, not just our patients,” Jennifer Morocko, treatment coordinator at Parisi Orthodontics, said. “Along with our practice being dedicated to providing exceptional orthodontic care, we are a community-oriented practice.”
For those unfamiliar with the practice, Parisi is located at 201 Darby Square in Elverson. Drop-off dates at the office are Nov. 4, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Nov. 6, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Nov. 7, 12-5 p.m. Rocksanne, the practice mascot, is waitng outside on their front porch dressed in her cheerleader Halloween costume.
How does it all work? Jen explained, “In addition to your $1 per pound for your candy, we will match the total amount of money paid out with toothbrushes and toothpaste for the Twin Valley Food Pantry. We then ship all the candy to our military personnel stationed overseas. Big smiles from the troops, sweets and memories from home.”
Last year they brought in over 80 pounds. But it doesn’t end there. They will also be at the Honey Brook Fall Festival Nov. 9, 4-8 p.m. for drop off.
In addition to the candy buy back, they are collecting canned goods and paper products for the food pantry.
And kids can win big: for every three items dropped off at the office, kids get their name entered to win a $50 gift certificate to the Sky Zone indoor trampoline park in Oaks. There is no limit to the amount of times you can enter.
Dr. Bernice M. Parisi said, “This program started when our staff thought it would be an excellent way to bring extra smiles to the community, the Twin Valley Food Pantry, along with the brave men and women who are putting their lives on the line for our country. It has proven to be a winner.”
