Saturday, Nov. 16 LECTURE A monk from the Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, will speak at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1236 Juniper St., Pottstown at 4 p.m. Nov. 16. In his talk, ‘Christ and the Early Church,’ Fr. Konstantin will speak about Christ’s ministry and the formation of His church. Tuesday, Nov. 19 SHERLOCK HOLMES BOOK CLUB
Children between 8 and 12 are invited to register for November Kids Book Club at the Exeter Community Library, 4569 Prestwick Drive, Reading. This is a monthly book discussion group featuring books selected by the student participants. Thursday, Nov. 21 CRIME WATCH
Amity Township Crime Watch will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at St. Paul’s Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville beginning at 7:30 p.m. Crime Watch Liaison Officer Thomas Gauby will discuss recent incidents in the township. A brief meeting will be held, followed by refreshments. The public is invited to attend.
SENIOR CITIZEN SHOW Exeter Township School District senior citizens are invited to attend a free breakfast and dress rehearsal presentation of the entertaining show ‘Music Man – Junior’ on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.
Breakfast will be served in the Exeter Township Junior High School cafeteria starting at 8:15 a.m. and the musical will begin in the auditorium at 9 a.m. To reserve a seat for breakfast and/or obtain a Senior Citizen Courtesy Card, telephone 779-0700 (ext. 1029) no later than November 15. Reservations are ONLY NEEDED for district residents (Exeter Township and St. Lawrence Borough) who want to attend the breakfast. Non-resident senior citizens are cordially invited to attend the show at 9 a.m. and reservations are not necessary.

The FYVE Woodwind Quintet will perform a variety of music 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.
The group is made up of five acclaimed Berks County musicians: Julie Beth Drey, clarinet; Robin Lilarose, flute; Valerie Trollinger, bassoon; Shari Gleason-Mayrhofer, horn; and Jill Haley, oboe.
