Goddard School's annual Toys for Tots drive in full swing again

The Goddard School’s annual donation drive for Toys for Tots began Nov. 18 and runs through Dec. 13.

“We welcome our families and the local community to stop by our school and donate a new, unwrapped toy that will go to less fortunate children in our local community,” said Bonnie Karwat, owner and operator of the Goddard School in Morgantown. “Our approved Toys for Tots collection location will have a donation box set up in our lobby, which is accessible Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.”

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

“Thank you (to everyone) in advance for your support of this worthy cause,” Karwat said.
