Temple UniversityLauren Snyder of Kutztown graduated magna cum laude from the Temple University Fox School of Business on May 8, 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with dual majors of Marketing and Management Information Systems.

Susquehanna UniversityHerman de Haan, of Kutztown, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Susquehanna University. de Haan is a 2011 graduate of Berks Catholic High School and the son of Herman and Peggy de Haan.

Susquehanna University student Veronica Andre, of Fleetwood, presented a study titled “Prenatal Nutrient Restriction Increases Addiction Susceptibility By Affecting The Mesolimbocortical Reward Pathway” at the 2015 annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research at University of Kentucky. Andre, a biology major in the Class of 2015, is a 2011 graduate of Oley Valley High School and the daughter of John and Sue Andre. Established in 1987, the conference is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and scholarship done in partnership with faculty or other mentors. The annual conference has become a national celebration of undergraduate scholarly activity involving all academic disciplines and all institutions of higher education.

Ithaca CollegeEmily Massaro of Kutztown, a member of the Ithaca College Leadership Scholars Program, presented senior capstones to demonstrate who they have become as leaders and scholars during their undergraduate experience.

Located in New York’s Finger Lakes region, the College is home to 6,100 undergraduate and 460 graduate students.

Kutztown UniversityKutztown University has honored 21 students with the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges award. Honorees were selected based upon academic achievement, leadership involvement, commitment to volunteer efforts, and commitment to social action. Honorees must have a cumulative grade point average above a 3.25 and a minimum of 75 credits to be considered.

Those honored include Victoria Deluca of Kutztown and Patrick Schukraft of Fleetwood.

Juniata CollegeKatie Marie Schroeder of Kempton, daughter of William and Linda Schroeder, received a B.S. degree in biology. While at Juniata, she was named to the dean’s list for four years, was a captain and member of the softball team for three years, and interned with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Kempton. Schroeder is a 2011 graduate of Kutztown Area High School.

Emily Kate Fox of Fleetwood, daughter of Allen and Shelly Fox, received a B.S. in biochemistry. Fox is a 2011 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School.

Brittany Ellyse Friedman of Blandon, daughter of Ms. Bonnie J. Dunn and Steven B. Friedman, received a B.S. in biology with a psychology secondary emphasis. Friedman is a 2011 graduate of Bordentown Regional High School.

Shayna Rose Yeates of Alburtis, daughter of Ms. Mary J. Nadeau and Paul D. Yeates, received a B.S. in psychology with a secondary emphasis in philosophy. Yeates is a 2011 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School.
