Kutztown team wins Blacktop Baseketball League title |Aug 17, 2014

The Blacktop Jr. Basketball League held its championship game at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown on Aug. 13. Two Guys Plumbing, a local team from Kutztown, came out on top to win the championship in the team’s second year of existence.

Shillington swimmers win Berks County Swimming Association’s Silver Meet |Aug 7, 2014

The Berks County Swimming Association held its annual Silver Championships on July 27. Shillington came out on top with a time score of 380 points, six ahead of second place Green Valley. Amity finished in fourth place, while Antietam was seventh, Maple Springs 11th, Ken Grill 14th and Crestwood 15th.

The Twin Valley girls U14 swim relay broke the Brandywine Swim League Medley relay record on July 19 and they broke the Freestyle relay record on July 26, both records were from 1994. The girls also broke the Twin Valley swim team relay record in both the Freestyle relay(1998) by 8 seconds and the Medley relay (2007) by 17 seconds.
