Andulhea Heritage Chorus Concert. The first annual chorus concert will be held at Zoin Blue Mountain Church, along Route 183 and Old Route 22 at Strausstown from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The chorus will be singing songs of days gone by including songs from the Civil War Period. Sixth School Reunion. Port Clinton School and residents of Port Clinton, it is time to have the sixth school reunion of all the students (spouses are invited) that attended Port Clinton School. Hamburg Library Board of Trustees meeting. For the month of October the Hamburg Library Board of Trustees will hold their meeting on Oct. 6  at 6 p.m. instead of Oct. 13.

Fire prevention open house. Sassamansville Fire Company will be having their Open  House in honor of Fire Prevention Week. The open house will start at 6:30 p.m.  There will be food, a demonstration on fire extinguisher safety presented by Kisler O’Brien Fire Equipment. We will also have our brand new field truck on  display. There will be a fire truck show with local fire companies in  attendance. Hamburg Jey Jamboree. The 2009 Hamburg Jet Jamboree will be held on Oct. 9, 10 and 11.  This three-day air show will feature turbine powered model jet aircraft that fly in speeds reaching 200 mph. The event will be held at the Grim Airpark, 375 Farview Road, Hamburg, and is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. We expect to have over 75 pilots from around the northeastern part of the U.S. come and fly with us.  Our 55 acre facility is a state registered airport and features an 1,800-foot grass runway with an onsite grill and snackbar. Primitive camping is allowed (no hook-ups).
