Rednecks in a small upstate Pennsylvania town? Who would of thunk it?

Weissport may be small in size, but, is BIG fun during it’s annual Redneck Festival. This two day affair boasted events such as Bean and Watermellon eating contests ,there were the Ugliest Pick-Up Truck and Junkman contests too. 50 MPH lawn tractors raced around the town’s streets and folks on toilets raced by the park. Mr. Redneck and Miss Daisy Duke were crowned and a couple of rednecks got hitched.We were not exactly sure which was more popular during the “Best Rack” contest, the “DEER RACK” or the “DEAR RACK”, since “DEAR” nudity was not allowed it was probably a toss up.

Some of the other unlisted events like arguing with a talking deer head and getting locked in the porta potty also made made this year’s event a memorable one, at least for me.
