The N-Crowd returns to Steel River Playhouse Saturday

Matt Lamson, Alison Zeidman and Kristen Schier of the N-Crowd perform an improv skit.

The N-Crowd brings back its spur-of-the moment comedy to Steel River Playhouse Saturday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m.

The Philadelphia improvisational comedy troupeís show is rated PG due to unpredictable audience and performer reactions. In each show, the N-Crowd plays a series of games and scenes based on suggestions from the audience. There are no scripts, no props, and nowhere to run. Since April 2005, The N-Crowd has performed 90-minute shows on a weekly basis. In addition to Steel River, the N-Crowd has appeared at Eastern University, Ursinus College, the Richmond Improv Festival, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Bethlehemís First Night (2008 and 2009), the Philadelphia Improv Festival (2005 through 2010), as well as the Philadelphia Fringe Festival (2005, and 2007 through 2010). The N Crowd was selected by Fox 29ís Hot List as the Best Comedy Club in Philadelphia in 2008 and finished second place in the same category in 2009. Currently they perform at the Actors Center at 257 North Third St., Philadelphia.

Tickets prices are $19 for adults; $17 for senior citizens 65 and older; $15 for students and children. A $3 off per ticket discount is available for groups of 10 or more.
