About our guest:Bill Nye the Science Guy is a Cornell University graduate and former engineer at Boeing Aircraft in Seattle. He is most famous for his Emmy Award-winning children’s science programs which ran from 1993 to 1998. He has continued making appearances on TV shows such as ‘Battlebots,’ ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and most recently, ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ He is also the CEO of the Planetary Society in Pasadena.

Nye, an evolution proponent, recently made headlines by agreeing to debate Ken Ham, CEO of Answers in Genesis-U.S. and founder of the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. The pair will meet on Feb. 4 at the Creation Museum in Kentucky. The sold-out debate has made national headlines and sparked discussion among scientists and creationists alike.

Pasadena Star-News reporter Adam Poulisse will lead the discussion with Bill Nye. Adam covers science for the Star-News, including NASA, its Jet Propulsion Laboratory and its academic home at the California Institute of Technology, commonly known as Caltech.
