Courteney Cox says it’s time to give up on the idea of a ‘Friends’ reunion.
Cox told David Letterman on ‘Late Show’ on Monday that there won’t be a ‘Friends’ reunion, mostly because it’s too difficult to get all six former castmates on the same page at the same time.
‘You’re sick of the question, aren’t you?’ Letterman asked Cox, who played Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom.
‘Only because once you say, ‘Well, I’d like it,’ then they have to contact every other cast member and be like, ‘Courteney’s into it!’ And then I get in trouble.’
‘It’s not gonna happen,’ she said.
That’s terrible. What’s next … no third ‘Sex and the City’ film?
Cox said she can’t even get everyone together for dinner.
‘Let me tell you something: there’s six friends and I’ve been trying to put together a cast dinner for 10 years. It doesn’t happen,’ she said.
‘I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry. Matt LeBlanc canceled last time right at the last minute, Schwimmer lives here (in New York City,) so it’s just not gonna happen.’
Right. If only there was a way to get from New York City to Los Angeles in about five hours or so … .
Nah – it’ll never happen.Cox also posed how such a movie could be put together.
‘We did the whole show on a soundstage in Monica’s apartment,’ she said. ‘So what are you gonna do?’
