Time continues to fly – the May flowers are making me sneeze, but it beats the dark, angry winter. WTIM friends playing out this time include Monkey Bizzness, Levi Bone, Stephanie Grace, Steve Carlisle and Jim Meck. A couple things on the ‘do not miss’ list this week: Stephanie Grace opening for Maggie Rose at Building 24 in West Reading. Building 24 is a great place to see a show, great music and food to die for. If you like Polka DO NOT miss the Polka Mass and Dance at St. Mary’s in Hamburg. This is just all around great fun in a great community atmosphere.

We got to step out to Cooper Morgans the other night. Chris Dietz rocked a great solo set (and guest spot jam with Chestnut Grove) and was followed by Coahoma Soul. Even down a man, these guys were a fun listen and are working with WTIM friend Jeremy Simon to record a new album. Speaking of new albums, Chestnut Grove recently released their new album, Outside the Show, available now at CD’s Place in Boyertown. Catching these folks live is the recommended way to see Chestnut Grove, though. The energy that comes from the stage when they are on it can power a small city for months!

For you Ritchie Kotzen fans out there, Ritchie with the Winery Dogs will be at Penn’s Peak this week. This appears to be as close as they’re going to get so if you want to see them head for Jim Thorpe.

Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM send an email to tdietterick@21st-centurymedia.com with the particulars (at least two weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.

9 May – Black Label Society at The Electric Factory

10 May – Paul Potts at The Keswick Theater
