On Saturday, Dec. 6, an evening of bluegrass music will be held at the Fivepointville Fire Hall Rt. 897, north of Terre Hill, featuring Bluestone.

Bluestone has been together 20 years and their members are Carroll Swam (guitar/lead vocals), Dick Laird (mandolin/tenor), Jon Glik (fiddle) aka “Baltimore Jonny”, Heath Laird (acoustic bass), Russ Hooper (dobro), Jeff Laird (2nd guitar/ lead vocals) and Tom Neal (banjo/baritone vocals). This hard-driving veteran bluegrass band brings together musicians who have played with some of the best including Del McCoury, Jimmy Martin, Cliff Waldron and Bill Harrell. Firmly grounded in traditional bluegrass, Bluestone’s music incorporates gospel, country, blues, swing and folk influences. A few of the places they have played are Song of the Mountain, Marion, Va., Arcadia Bluegrass Festival, Arcadia Md., Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival, Gettysburg, Pa., Bethlehem Musikfest, Bethlehem, Pa., Bridgewater Bluegrass Festival, Nova Scotia and Lucketts Bluegrass Show in Lucketts, Va.

Come on out to the Fivepointville Fire Hall, 1087 Dry Tavern Road (Route #897), Denver and make welcome Bluestone at 6pm. The doors open at 5pm. Food will be available by the Fire Company.
